The Wabakimi area is the ancestral land of the Anishinaabe peoples, who have cared for these lands, waterways, and all its beings since time immemorial.  It is a remote boreal forest wilderness with more than 6,500 kilometers (4,000 miles) of historically and culturally significant canoe routes.

To safely experience and enjoy this vast wilderness, informed planning and preparation are required.

We'd love to help you plan your next paddling adventure in Wabakimi.
